We pride ourselves on the quality of our concreting and paving.

Concreting:

There are so many ways that contractors cut corners but the deficiencies in the end product will always be evident.

At Amazescapes we excavate, prepare the sub-base, use the correct amount of suspended steel and most importantly pour to the correct depth. We also pride ourselves on the quality and finish of our screeding (the process of smoothing the top surface).

Various finishes are possible so whether you are looking for a basic path or driveway (or driveway extension), or a beautifully presented exposed aggregate - Amazescapes can do those and everything in between!

TIP: Whether you choose Amazescapes or somebody else tell the contractor that you need to take photographs of the job at each key stage. That will immediately weed out the ones that were planning on cutting corners!

Paving:

At Amazescapes we do all sorts of paving. From basic to very complex areas - we have done it all! We also specialise in swimming pool surrounds and have many beautiful before and after images we can share with you.

It is always better to invest the extra dollars in a concrete base for your paving. It will add some marginal cost up front but the end result will absolutely be worth it! Years after a gravel/sand base has given way to dips and tree roots… your concrete-footed pavers will be holding as firm as the day they were laid.

The outdoor landscape surrounding your home or office is a defining feature of your property.

No task is too big or small so if you just need an area cleaned up and re-turfed… or you want something worthy of a TV mini-series - Amazescapes have done it all.

Don’t let style define the price you pay. Some Landscapers will charge you a massive premium to ‘design’ your garden if it seems you don’t have a clue! Spend time researching magazines and online until you find the look that YOU like. Then, provide those images as a brief and we can price it from there.

TIP: Drainage and post hole depths + angles are the ways contractors cut corners. You wont see the impacts of any shortcuts for some time, but once the problems manifest…there is no easy fix! Whether you choose Amazescapes of somebody else… this is the quality control area to focus on!

We are not sure if they call it “crazy paving” because of the final look…or whether its because it makes the Paver insane? Either way we have developed an expertise in this intricate and beautiful paving technique.

We love it so much that we have started a separate division specialising just in Crazy Paving. Enquire about visiting our Mornington Showroom where we have sample areas of different stones and designs.

Crazy Paving is a favourite choice of our client’s with mid-century houses or landscaped areas with a more natural feel. It’s like a work of art compared to regular paving.

The artistry is in the stone selection, shape, colour flow and the size of the gaps. The difference between a low price crazy pave and the ‘correct’ price is lazy gaps. Anybody can put down random pieces of stone if the grouted gap between them is BIG. When the gap is smaller the stone selection is critical and the difference in look is obvious - and the end result is stunning.
